The Faculty of Pharmacy at The British University in Egypt (BUE), in collaboration with the Center for Women’s Global Leadership (CWGL) and the Egyptian Pharmaceutical Students’ Federation (EPSF), proudly participated in the Global 16 Days of Activism campaign. This global initiative aims to combat gender-based violence and align with the United Nations Secretary-General’s “UNITE” campaign, supporting Sustainable Development Goal 5: Gender Equality.
Throughout the campaign, we hosted a series of awareness-raising activities designed to educate the public about gender-based violence and related health concerns, while observing World Health Days. With over 6,000 organizations participating globally and reaching an estimated 300 million people across 187 countries, the Global 16 Days of Activism campaign—originally launched by CWGL in 1991—continues to drive impactful change in communities worldwide.
Together, we are working to ensure that violence against women and girls becomes a thing of the past, advocating for a world that is safe, equal, and informed.
