Faculty of Nursing at the British University in Egypt committed to educating students on environmental health and its impact on community well-being.

The Faculty of Nursing at the British University in Egypt (BUE) is committed to educating students on environmental health and its impact on community well-being. As part of this commitment, a specialized lecture on Environmental Health is regularly delivered, covering key topics related to sustainability and public health. This lecture introduces students to fundamental environmental health concepts, including environmental systems, types of environments (physical, biological, and social), and major environmental hazards. Special emphasis is placed on contemporary issues such as climate change, pollution, and environmental justice, highlighting their impact on public health. The session also explores the role of community health nurses in addressing environmental risks and promoting sustainable health practices. Through interactive discussions and case studies, students gain insights into environmental toxicology, exposure pathways, and the health consequences of pollutants. The lecture aligns with the university’s sustainability goals by emphasizing the importance of community action in mitigating environmental risks.
