This year’s Faculty of Dentistry’s annual School Awareness campaign saw Faculty members and students hit the road to visit a number of schools across Cairo and other governorates.

Sponsored by a number of partners including Unilever Egypt, Shorouk Authority, Rotary Club Egypt, the Ministry of Youth and Sports and Hayah Karima, the convoys featured simplified awareness sessions for healthy lifestyle related to oral hygiene and demos for students about the correct way to brush their teeth.

The schoolchildren were also treated to entertainment and fun activities such as colouring pictures related to dental health. Toothpaste samples sponsored by Signal were given away to encourage schoolkids to take care of their dental hygiene.

In Cairo, the British University in Egypt School Dental Convoys visited schools in Shorouk, Madinaty, the Fifth Settlement and Asmarat. The convoy travelled to the Kafr Tohormous youth center in Giza, Sharqia and Siwa.
