The Faculty of Pharmacy at The British University in Egypt recently hosted a seminar on March 2023 entitled “Drug Development: Conceptual View and New Trends,” organized by the Center of Drug Research and Development (CDRD). This engaging session was presented by Prof. Mohey Elmazar, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, who is a prominent pharmacologist with extensive contributions to Clinical Pharmacology, Reproductive Toxicology, and drug development.

In this scientific talk, Prof. Elmazar explored innovative strategies to streamline drug discovery, aiming to make the process more efficient and cost-effective. He discussed the potential of drug repositioning, novel targeted therapies, and combining FDA-approved drugs as methods to accelerate and enhance drug development. The seminar offered valuable insights into the future of pharmacology, underscoring BUE’s commitment to advancing research in drug development.
