Under the inspiring supervision of Dean Prof. Maha Adel, the Faculty of Nursing in collaboration with the School of Continuing Education at The British University in Egypt brought together children to attend a First Aid training (Children Summer Programme 2022) on campus.

The activity aimed to raise children’s awareness and response to emergency situations that require minimal first aid. Participants were shown how to react to different types of situations when emergency first aid measures are needed to preserve life, prevent injury and promote recovery. The children were also taught how to assess the different causes that may occur when encountering different life-threating situations, determine the necessary skills needed to take immediate action upon encountering different target groups in an accident or medical emergency, and demonstrate the competencies required to manage accidents and injuries to eliminate or minimize such dangers.
