BUE Faculty of Nursing Hosts Blood Donation Campaign to Support Egyptian Patients

The British University in Egypt’s Faculty of Nursing recently organized a successful blood donation campaign in collaboration with the Regional Blood Transfusion Centre in Abasia. Driven by our commitment to community health, the campaign aims to provide a safe, sufficient, and reliable blood supply for patients across Egypt, particularly those with blood-related disorders like thalassemia and hemophilia who depend on regular transfusions.

Prior to donation, donors underwent comprehensive health screenings, including blood pressure, hemoglobin level checks, and virus screenings for Hepatitis C, Hepatitis B, HIV, and Syphilis. All screenings were conducted confidentially, and donors will receive their test results privately. Through this initiative, the Faculty of Nursing supports the nation’s efforts to maintain a sustainable blood supply, enhancing health services for patients in need.
