The British University in Egypt (BUE) hosted an insightful Multiple Sclerosis (MS) awareness session led by Prof. Rehab Shamma, Professor of Pharmaceutics and Industrial Pharmacy at the Faculty of Pharmacy, Cairo University.

The session aimed to raise awareness about MS—an autoimmune disease affecting the central nervous system—by shedding light on its symptoms, progression, treatment options, and the daily challenges faced by patients. Prof. Shamma shared her expertise with students and faculty, emphasizing the pharmacist’s role in supporting MS patients through both pharmaceutical care and community engagement.

This event reflects BUE’s ongoing commitment to public health education and enriching students’ understanding of real-world medical conditions beyond the classroom.
