In an outstanding demonstration of initiative and public health advocacy, two groups of fifth-year students from the Faculty of Pharmacy at the British University in Egypt participated in the Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) Awareness Competition, organized by the Egyptian Drug Authority (EDA) in collaboration with the World Health Organization (WHO).
Under the supervision of the Clinical Pharmacy Practice Department, the students developed and implemented creative, impactful campaigns focused on raising public awareness about the dangers of antimicrobial resistance and the responsible use of antibiotics.
Their work included:
-
Informative videos
-
Engaging social media content
-
Educational materials tailored to the community
These student-led initiatives highlighted the urgent need to address AMR and contributed to nationwide awareness efforts during the campaign period.
We are proud to share that one of the BUE student teams was awarded 5th place at the national level, a testament to their hard work, innovation, and commitment to public health.
The Faculty of Pharmacy congratulates all participating students for their exceptional efforts and for representing BUE on a national platform with excellence.
