Pharm D Students Lead Cancer Awareness Campaign in Collaboration with Hospice Egypt

As part of the Palliative Care module (Pharm D: PCPO16 & Pharm DC: PCPcO23), a group of 100 fourth-year students from the British University in Egypt actively participated in a meaningful awareness campaign in collaboration with Hospice Egypt.

Held on campus in December 2024, the campaign focused on raising public awareness about the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of lung, prostate, and gastrointestinal (GIT) cancers. The initiative also emphasized the vital role of palliative and hospice care in supporting patients and families during advanced stages of illness.

This impactful campaign not only provided students with hands-on, community-centered learning but also highlighted the importance of compassionate healthcare communication.

The Faculty of Pharmacy is proud of its students’ dedication to social responsibility and public health, and looks forward to more collaborative efforts that bridge academic knowledge with community impact.
