On Wednesday, 27 November 2024, the British University in Egypt had the pleasure of hosting Prof. Sawsan Aboul-Fotouh, Professor of Pharmacology at the Faculty of Medicine, Ain Shams University, for a special awareness seminar.

The session, titled “Autism in College Students – Is It Fact or Fiction?”, was held in Lecture Hall 2 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, in collaboration with the BUE Students’ Union. The talk explored the challenges and realities faced by autistic students in higher education, sparking thoughtful discussion among attendees.

The event, previously featured on What’s Up ON Campus, was well-received by students and staff alike. Prof. Aboul-Fotouh shared valuable insights backed by research and professional experience, emphasizing the importance of awareness, empathy, and institutional support.
