Developing Communication Competence Across Cultural Diversity: International Project Week at Nordhausen University of Applied Science

The Faculty of Arts and Humanities at The British University in Egypt (BUE) had the honor of participating in the International Project Week at Nordhausen University of Applied Science, presenting a project titled “Developing Communication Competence Across Cultural Diversity.”

This project aimed to foster effective cross-cultural communication skills among 16 participating students from Germany. Conducted online, the project allowed students to engage in various activities that explored the complexities of communication in a multicultural world.

Throughout the week, students were encouraged to reflect on their own communication styles while gaining insights into the importance of cultural sensitivity in global interactions. The culmination of the project was marked by outstanding presentations from the students, who shared the valuable lessons and insights they had gained during the project.

This collaboration between BUE and Nordhausen University not only provided students with new perspectives but also reinforced the importance of developing communication competence to bridge cultural divides in today’s interconnected world.
