The Faculty of Nursing at the British University in Egypt (BUE), under the leadership of Dean Prof. Maha Adel, is excited to host a multi-service medical convoy in collaboration with the Ministry of Health and Population. This event will take place from Tuesday, September 6th to Thursday, September 8th, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM at BUE’s Gate 5.
Key Initiatives:
- Women’s Health Initiative: Early detection of breast tumors for women aged 18 and above using a mobile unit equipped with mammogram and ultrasound technology.
- Chronic Disease Detection: Screening for high blood pressure, diabetes, and obesity.
- Kidney Disease Screening: Focused on the early identification of kidney diseases.
Participants will benefit from:
- Measurements of weight, height, body mass index, blood pressure, and blood sugar.
- Health education on the importance of regular screenings and chronic disease prevention.
- Access to a nutritionist for guidance on healthy eating, especially for those managing diabetes and hypertension.
