The PSCM 2023: Expanding Horizons in Undergraduate Research

The PSCM (Political Science and Communication Management) is an annual, student-led conference aimed at promoting academic research among undergraduates and equipping them with skills for national and international job markets. Launched in 2020, this third edition is the first to be held internationally, with collaboration from London South Bank University (LSBU) students. The conference theme, “Managing Diversity: Trust, Peace, and Inclusive Development,” aligns with our University’s commitment to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Distinguished attendees included Professor Wadouda Badran, Dean of the Faculty of Business Administration, Economics, and Political Science; UK Link Tutors from LSBU; and Professor Amany Khodair, Head of the Political Science department. The keynote address was delivered by Professor Ali Eldean Hillal from Cairo University, who emphasized the role of SDGs and the critical skills this conference imparts to political science students.

Students presented papers on vital topics related to the SDGs and Egypt’s Vision 2030, such as inclusive development, healthcare access, and education and employment for disabled people and autistic children. These contributions facilitated dynamic discussions, allowing students to share research and engage in meaningful debates on these critical issues.
