In collaboration with IEEE-HTB, we’ve installed a 5 kWp solar energy system on the rooftop of a local charitable building, designed to cover up to 70% of the facility’s monthly energy needs. With an on-grid setup, the system seamlessly integrates with the grid to ensure uninterrupted service. Key project features include:
- Comprehensive Analysis and System Design: From load profile assessment to shading simulation, our team, alongside IEEE-HTB, conducted a detailed analysis leading to successful PV system sizing and implementation.
- 24/7 Monitoring for Research and Security: We developed a custom monitoring platform providing live data streams for researchers to analyze power output. The platform also includes a live video feed through a Raspberry Pi to enhance security and maintain system cleanliness.
Social Impact: This collaboration not only reduces the charity’s carbon footprint but also supports Egypt’s commitment to renewable energy. The solar system helps alleviate financial strain for the charity, currently facing a drop in donations. Together with IEEE-HTB, we’re advancing sustainable, green solutions for a cleaner energy future.
